Beekmantown School Board to meet Thursday

BEEKMANTOWN — The Beekmantown Central School Board will hold a special meeting at 6 p.m. Thursday in the Middle/High School library. 

Agenda items include: committee appointments, the school physician and school-bus lease. 

The board anticipates going into executive session at 6:15 p.m. to discuss a matter leading to the appointment of the superintendent of schools.

The meeting is open to the public.

Manufacturing forum set for Wednesday

PLATTSBURGH — Empire State Development and CITEC will hold an event on Wednesday to help match small- and medium-sized manufacturers with the state’s technology and business resources.

The Solutions Forum will include representatives of Empire State Development’s Division of Science, Technology and Innovation in collaboration with National Institute of Standards and Technology’s Manufacturing Extension Partnership. It is geared to help manufacturing companies overcome production, engineering and product innovation challenges with technology solutions to better compete and grow their business.

The event is from 1 to 5 p.m. in the Adirondack Room at the Butcher Block restaurant, 15 Booth Drive, Plattsburgh.
