---- — Saranac School Board to make appointments

SARANAC — Saranac Central School Board will hold its reorganizational meeting at 6:30 p.m. Monday, July 8, at the District Office in Dannemora.

The School Board will elect a president and vice president for the 2013-14 school year, consider appointments and establish meeting dates.

The regular board meeting will immediately follow. Agenda items include the appointment of an audit committee for the 2013-14 school year and the employment of particular people.

Chateaugay School Board meeting set

CHATEAUGAY — Chateaugay Central School Board  will meet at 7:30 p.m. Monday, July 8, at the school.

It will be the reorganizational meeting, with a number of appointments planned.

The board will also discuss a cooperative purchasing resolution, consultants proposal, district plan and the senior play.

The meeting is open to the public.

Boil-water issued in Town of Plattsburgh

PLATTSBURGH — The Town of Plattsburgh Water & Wastewater Department, in conjunction with the Clinton County Department of Health, has implemented a boil-water order due to a water-main break at the intersection of Tom Miller Road and Military Turnpike.

The order covers all water-service connections on Military Turnpike north, including Wallace Hill Extension, 419 to 696 Wallace Hill Road, Rascoe Road, Bell Road, Can Am Drive and Tom Miller Road east to Mae Currier Park.

The Pizza Palace and Homestead Restaurant have made accommodations for the boil-water order and are open for business.

The Town of Plattsburgh will be collecting two consecutive samples to bring to an independent lab for testing before the boil-water order can be lifted.
