Crafters invited to start-up meeting

MOOERS — Knitters, crocheters and quilters are warmly invited to attend an organizational meeting of a Prayer Shawl Knitting Group at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 3, in the Pine Room at the Mooers United Methodist Church.

Taste of the North Country set for Nov. 8 PLATTSBURGH — The Taste of the North Country and combined silent auction is set for Wednesday, Nov. 8, at the SUNY Plattsburgh Field House. The auction preview will begin at 5 p.m., with the silent auction and tasting from 5:30 to 7 p.m. The live auction is from 7 to 7:30 p.m. Community members are encouraged to donate items for the auction as soon as possible; those who donate receive a free ticket to the event. Tickets are $12 in advance, or $18 after Nov. 1. General admission includes all food and beverage samples.
