---- — City firefighters flushing hydrants

PLATTSBURGH — The City of Plattsburgh Fire Department will be flushing hydrants today downtown and in the North End.

The streets affected, sometime between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m., will be Veterans Lane, Oak Street, Lozier Place, Riley Avenue, Boynton Avenue, Monroe Way, Margaret Street, Robinson Terrace and Cornelia Street.

Water in the system will be stirred up and may be cloudy or rust colored coming out of the faucet during the flushing. Residents are urged to avoid washing clothes or bathing during that time.
