Casino night to benefit Senior Citizens Council

PLATTSBURGH — The Senior Citizens Council is hosting a casino night fundraiser from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday, Oct. 12, at its 5139 North Catherine St. location.

There will be a beer and wine cash bar, gaming tables and a 50/50 raffle.

It’s free to enter, but attendees must be at least 21 years old.

Proceeds benefit the Senior Citizens Council.

Shopping trip downstate planned

PLATTSBURGH — The Senior Citizens Council is offering a “Let’s Go Shopping” day trip Wednesday, Dec. 5.

The group will leave the Champlain Centre mall parking lot in Plattsburgh at 8 a.m. and travel to Colonie Shopping Center in Albany for holiday shopping. They will leave Albany at about 2:30 p.m. and stop at the Lake George outlets for about two more hours of shopping.

Attendees can expect to arrive in Plattsburgh at about 7:30 p.m.

Payment of $35 per person reserves a seat. The cost covers transportation on the coach bus. No refunds due to cancellations.

Fellowship Club meets today

MOOERS — The Mooers Good Fellowship Club will have their regular potluck monthly meeting at noon today at St. Joseph’s Hall.

The group will discuss November’s and December’s dinners. Dues are also due. New members are always welcome.

Seniors invited to Saratoga Casino, Raceway outing

PLATTSBURGH — The Town of Plattsburgh Parks and Recreation Department is sponsoring a senior trip to Saratoga Casino and Raceway on Oct. 24.

The group will leave the Champlain Centre mall parking lot in front of Sears at 1 p.m. and will start the return trip home around 8 p.m.

Attendees will go to “The Ultimate Tribute to Tom Jones” show at 6 p.m. at the casino.

The cost is $35 per person and includes tickets to the show, dinner at the Garden Buffet and $15 Free Play.

Preregistration and prepayment are mandatory. Registration and payment will be taken for Town of Plattsburgh residents only until Wednesday, Oct. 17.

If seats are available after that date, registrations for all Clinton County residents will be taken until the bus is filled.
