Justus for Children busy already

MORRISONVILLE — Justus for Children, an effort by Dave and Marion Justus to make sure kids and families have happy holidays, really went into high gear Monday morning.

”Sixteen calls just this morning,” Mr. Justus said from his home at 316 Soper St. “It’s going to be awful busy.”

Families in need are invited to stop by or to call the Justuses at 643-0855.

Various organizations donate toys and other items to the project, which the Justuses have done for decades. The couple also puts every penny that they can afford into it themselves.

“We generally get the ones that are too embarrassed (to apply for assistance) or who slip through the cracks,” Mr. Justus said of those needing help.
