New director

PLATTSBURGH — The Strand Centre for the Arts has hired Jessica Dulle as executive director. Her experience will lead the organization forward as The North Country Cultural Center for the Arts and the Strand Theatre merge into The Strand Centre for the Arts.

Dulle holds a B.A. Degree in Theatre with a minor in film and broadcasting from the University of Central Missouri and a Master in Business Administration from Stephens College.

She has experience working in several theater positions and was also general manager and artistic director from 2002 to 2006.

She has also been the executive director for the Center for Contemporary Arts in Abilene, Tex., and, most recently, executive director for Capital City Council on the Arts in Jefferson City, Mo.

“I’m thrilled to be the newest member of the Centre for the Arts and Strand Theatre,” Dulle said. “I’m looking forward to meeting new faces and being an active member of the community.”

Leigh Mundy, president of the board, said they are excited that Dulle has accepted the offer and know she will quickly become a contributing member of the community.

“She has all the skills that we were looking for to take our organization to the next level,” she said.

Dulle will begin her duties as executive director on May 15.
