Winner named in Kiwanis K-melt on CVPH pond contest
PLATTSBURGH — David Kerr won the Plattsburgh Noon Kiwanis Club’s annual K-melt contest.
The Plattsburgh man correctly guessed the 350-pound “K” on the pond at CVPH Medical Center would fall through the ice on April 14. His ticket, along with all the others with that date, were put in a hat for the random drawing that selected his name.
He won $1,000, and the Foundation of CVPH receives $1,000 for families with young children who have to travel out of the area for medical treatment.
The Plattsburgh Noon Kiwanis Club uses the remainder of the money raised for community projects.
