Appointments announced

PLATTSBURGH — Northern Insuring/Northern Benefits recently promoted Lauren Tyler to sales executive in the Life and Employee Benefits Division (LEB).

Tyler is a 2011 graduate of Plattsburgh State University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Finance and Business Administration. She joined Northern in April 2012 as a member of the Personal Insurance Division and quickly advanced to obtain her New York State Property and Casualty license.

Aspiring to a career more aligned with her college degree and professional interests, Tyler joined the LEB team, obtained her New York State Life, Accident and Health license and both the Finra Series 63 Uniform Securities Agent State Law Exam and Finra Series 7 General Securities Representative investment licenses. She is also a registered representative of The Investment Center Inc.

In her new role at Northern, Tyler will be focusing on providing personal retirement planning, individual and group investment products as well as individual life, disability and long-term care insurance.

“Lauren is well rounded, smart and enthusiastic,” said Deena Giltz McCullough, president. “She successfully builds professional relationships with our clients and we are excited to have her on our sales team.”

Also, Northern Insuring/Northern Benefits has hired Nicole Laurin as a sales executive in the Life and Employee Benefits Division.

“Nicole brings a wealth of marketing experience and management expertise to our organization,” McCullough said. “She has a high level of integrity, complementing one of our key organizational values, and will add new ideas and strong communication skills to an already experienced team.”

Laurin is a Summa Cum Laude graduate of SUNY Plattsburgh and most recently worked locally as a membership and marketing assistant manager. She holds the New York State Life, Accident and Health license and in her role at Northern will be focusing on providing employers suitable group health, dental, life and disability insurances as well as Section 125 Cafeteria Plans and COBRA Administration.
