Women’s Retreat today at New Jerusalem church

PLATTSBURGH — New Jerusalem Baptist Church is holding its Women’s Retreat 2012, called “S.O.S. - Stretching Our Strength,” at 7 p.m. today at the church’s 83 Oak St. location.

The workshop at 11:30 a.m. is for women only. Registration is $30. A worship service at 7 p.m. is open to all.

Peru Community Church back to two Sunday services

PERU — Peru Community Church will return to two regular services on Sundays, at 8 and 10:30 a.m., starting Sept. 9.

Sunday school for all ages is at 9:15 a.m. Youth group for middle- and high-school students begins at 5:30 p.m.

The church is located at 12 Elm St., Peru. For more information, call the office at 643-8641.

Good Fellowship Club meets at noon Wednesday

MOOERS — The Mooers Good Fellowship Club will meet at noon Wednesday, Sept. 12, at St. Joseph’s Church Hall for its potluck luncheon.

Club dues are also due at that time. Attendees are also asked to bring something for the local food pantry.

The group is looking for a treasurer and is also brainstorming ideas for a club trip next year.

New members are always welcome.

Fellowship lunch set

DANNEMORA — The Dannemora United Methodist Church is hosting a community “Soup, Sandwich and Fellowship” lunch from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Monday, Sept. 10, at the church, 86 Clark St.

The free, informal gathering is open to anyone who would like to come have lunch and visit with neighbors.
