NCCS Board tomeet Thursday

CHAMPLAIN — The Northeastern Clinton Central School Board will meet at 6 p.m. Thursday, July 25.

On the agenda is a vote on extension of the food-service contract. And it is anticipated that the board will move into executive session to discuss a matter of employment of a particular party in the NCCSTA.

The meeting is open to the public.


NACS School Board schedules special meeting Monday

ELLENBURG — The Northern Adirondack Central School Board will hold a special meeting at 8:30 a.m. Monday, July 29, in the District Office conference room.

The board is expected to appoint a superintendent of buildings and grounds.

The meeting is open to all.


Second Amendment rally planned Aug. 9

PLATTSBURGH — Citizens for the Constitution, a local grassroots group, will hold a Second Amendment rally on Friday, Aug. 9.

The rally will be held at the former Plattsburgh Air Force Base Oval from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.

Featured speakers will be Arizona Sheriff Richard Mack, Assemblyman Steve McLaughlin, Clinton County Sheriff David Favro and Karen Bisso, with radio host Melody Burns as emcee.

Ed Duda, one of the organizers, said it is a family event, with food, music and raffles.
