Willsboro church offering takeout pasta dinner

WILLSBORO — St. Philip of Jesus Church is hosting a takeout pasta dinner from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. Friday, July 26, at its 3746 Main St. location.

The menu includes pasta and meatballs, salad, Italian bread and dessert. 

The cost is $9 for adults and $5 for children 12 and under. Proceeds benefit The Catholic Community of St. Philip of Jesus, Willsboro, and St. Joseph, Essex.

Peru churches holding vacation Bible school

PERU — Peru Community Church and St. Augustine’s Catholic Church are inviting children ages 3 years to sixth grade to this year’s vacation Bible school called “Kingdom Rock: Where Kids Stand Strong for God!”

The annual joint summer program will be hosted at Peru Community Church, on the corner of Elm and Pleasant streets, from 9 a.m. to noon Monday through Friday, Aug. 5 through 9.

Kids will participate in music and dance, play games, create crafts, enjoy treats, experience epic Bible adventures and have hands-on science fun.

House of Prayer planning dayof adoration 

ELLENBURG CENTER — A day of adoration of the blessed sacrament with meditations on the rosary and divine mercy chaplet will be celebrated from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 7.

All are invited to Our Lady of the Adirondacks House of Prayer, 7270 Star Road, for an hour — or the day — to spend time with God in the blessed sacrament. Rosary and meditation is at 10 a.m., noon, 2 and 6 p.m. Divine mercy chaplet is at 3 p.m. 

Attendees are welcome to bring a bagged lunch.

Crown Point churches band for summer Bible school

CROWN POINT — The parishes of Crown Point have joined together at the facilities of Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church in Crown Point for a community vacation Bible school this summer.
