---- — Boil-water order issued in Peru
PERU — A boil-water order is in place in part of the Town of Peru, including Peru Central School.
The order, which requires that water be boiled to ensure its safety, covers Route 22B north, according to a release from the Clinton County Health Department.
The directive, put in place because of a water-main break, will remain in effect until the Health Department has evidence of delivery of a safe water supply.
Plattsburgh Common Council meets tonight
PLATTSBURGH — The City of Plattsburgh Common Council will take action on several items at tonight’s meeting.
The agenda includes resolutions authorizing the Municipal Lighting Department to advertise for bids on high-voltage station service transformers, wooden utility poles and the sale of surplus transformers to T&R Electric Supply Company for $59,574.38.
The council will also act on a request to transfer $31,192.56 to cover the cost of outfitting three new police patrol vehicles and one from Dr. Jon Mulholland to lease the Chaplain’s Building at 42 U.S. Oval as a chiropractic and sports-related medical practice.
The meeting begins with a work session at 5 p.m., followed by the regular meeting at 5:30 p.m.
Both meetings are open to the public.
Rouses Point Planning Board won’t meet July 22
ROUSES POINT — The Rouses Point Planning Board meeting scheduled for Monday, July 22, is canceled.
The next scheduled session is 7 p.m. Monday, Aug. 26.
Meetings are open to the public.
Beekmantown Court to be closed July 24
BEEKMANTOWN — Beekmantown Town Court will not be in session on Wednesday, July 24.
People who have an appearance scheduled for that night should instead show up on Aug. 7.
