Beekmantown Board interviewing candidates

BEEKMANTOWN — The Beekmantown Central School Board will meet at 4:30 p.m. Monday, July 15, and Tuesday, July 16, in the Middle/High School Library.

A motion will be made to enter executive session for the purpose of interviewing candidates for superintendent of schools.

The meeting is open to all.


NCCC Trustees to introduce new VP

SARANAC LAKE — The North Country Community College Board of Trustees will hold meet at noon Tuesday, July 16, in the board room on the Saranac Lake campus, 23 Santanoni Ave.

Agenda items are expected to include administrative reports, introducing the vice president for academic affairs, a financial update and personnel discussion.

The meeting is open to all.


Contract awarded for work at Malone prison

ALBANY — The New York State Office of General Services is bringing aboard contractors for work at Franklin Correctional Facility.

The contracts are expected to be awarded to the apparent low bidders following review and approval by the State Comptroller’s Office.

The Environmental Service Group Inc. of Tonawanda has been awarded a contract to provide remediation at the Firing Range at a cost of $892,800.
