Pictures sought of Air Force squadron patches for mosaic

PLATTSBURGH — Chazy High School students who are creating a mosaic for Plattsburgh International Airport need some help.

They need photos of all the Plattsburgh Air Force Base squadron patches from the year 1955 to 1995 to be sure they are all represented on the 20-by-8-foot mosaic.

People who have squadron patches are asked to call Bucky Seiden at 569-9991 or email images of the patches to pafbmosaic@gmail.com.

People can also bring the patches to Chazy Central Rural School lobby from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. today, where they can be photographed.

Boil-water orderset in Black Brook

BLACK BROOK — A boil-water order is in place for some sections of Black Brook.

A broken water line and lost water pressure has necessitated boiling water from 113 Silver Lake Road to 394 Silver Lake Road.

Ellenburg Town Council to vote on exceeding tax cap

ELLENBURG — The Ellenburg Town Council will hold a special meeting at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 13, at the Town Hall on Brandy Brook Road.

On the agenda is action on a resolution to exceed the state tax-levy cap.

The public may attend.

Participants sought for Clinton County Youth Court

PLATTSBURGH — Clinton County Youth Court will be offering a member training for Clinton County residents.

The Youth Court Program is an opportunity for people age 13 to 18 to serve as members of a court for young people who have committed offenses in our community.

The goal is to prevent delinquency through positive peer influence. Members develop leadership skills, learn about the justice system and have an opportunity to make a difference in their community.

Membership requires participation in two full days of training, set for 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Dec. 30 and 31.

Applications must be submitted to the Clinton County Youth Bureau no later than Nov. 25. Enrollment is limited.
