Forkey Benefit set for today

LYON MOUNTAIN — The Benefit for Joanne Forkey takes place today from noon to 6 p.m. at the Lyon Mountain American Legion, 3958 Route 374. 

The fundraiser will help her defray medical expenses. Those who can’t attend may call 735-4504 to find out how to make a donation.

Craft Fair to raise funds for Fire Auxiliary

BLOOMINGDALE — The Kick Off Your Holiday Craft Fair and Bake Sale is 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. today at Bloomingdale Fire Department, 1635 Route 3.  

Vendor tables are available for $15; call 891-2148.  The event is sponsored by the Bloomingdale Fire Department Auxiliary.

Chateaugay School Board to meet Monday

CHATEAUGAY — The Chateaugay Central School Board will meet at 7:30 p.m. Monday.

Agenda items include the internal audit report, senior trip, a Food Service report.

The public is welcome.

Franklin County expands hours for absentee ballots 

MALONE — Office hours will be extended at the Franklin County Board of Elections for those wishing to vote but who will be out of town Nov. 5.

In addition to the regular business hours of 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily, the office will accept absentee ballots at the following days and times: 9 a.m. to noon this Saturday; 4 to 7 p.m., Tuesday, Oct. 29.; and 9 a.m. to noon, Saturday, Nov. 2.
