Registration due for House of Prayer retreat

ELLENBURG CENTER — The Rev. Jack Downs will present a Meditation and Contemplation Retreat at Our Lady of the Adirondacks House of Prayer, 7270 Star Road, Route 190, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 2.

Reservations are due by Saturday, Oct. 26.

The day will cover what the Prayer of Examen is, how to pray it and more. The group will also review how St. Ignatius and others experienced the Examen. Mass will be celebrated at the end of the day.

Lunch and dinner will be provided. A donation of $25 for the day is suggested. RSVP to olaprayerhouse@gmail.com or 594-3253.

Annual Christmas Craft Show coming up

ROUSES POINT — The 17th-annual St. Patrick’s Christmas Craft Show is from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 2, and 9 a.m. to noon Sunday, Nov. 3, at St. Patrick’s Church Hall, 138 Lake St.

Proceeds from the show benefit the annual Children’s Christmas Party.

WEST CHAZY — West Chazy Community Church’s annual fall festival starts at 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 26, at 17 Fiske Road.

The free event is open to the public and features games, inflatables, candy and a magic show.

Spring Rummage Sale starts today

CHAMPLAIN — The United Methodist Women’s Spring Rummage Sale is from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. today and 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at Three Steeples United Methodist Church, 491 Route 11. 

Clothing, toys, household items and more will be for sale. Lunch will also be available.

Wesleyan Church planning Fun Day 

PLATTSBURGH — Turnpike Wesleyan Church at 2224 Military Turnpike will host a Community Fall Festival and Fun Day starting at 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 26.

Events include a pumpkin hunt through hay, trunk-or-treating, wagon rides, crafts, games, a costume contest, fall snacks and more.
