City School building-use study meeting canceled

PLATTSBURGH — Tonight’s meeting of the Plattsburgh City School District building-use study Advisory Committee has been canceled. 

The next meeting, which is open to the public, is scheduled for 6 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 20, at Stafford Middle School.

Ellenburg Council to work on budget

ELLENBURG — The Ellenburg Town Council will hold a meeting at 5 p.m. Thursday to work on the 2014 budget.

The session is open to the public.

Plattsburgh Winter Farmers Market opens Oct. 19

PLATTSBURGH — The Plattsburgh Winter Farmers Market opens for its fourth season from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 19, at the City Recreation Center, 52 U.S. Oval.

It will be open every Saturday through Dec. 21.

Beginning in January 2014, hours will be 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. the first and third Saturdays of the month through May 3.

NAC Board to discuss coaching appointments

ELLENBURG — The Northern Adirondack School Board will meet at 6 p.m. Monday, Oct. 21, in the District Office Conference Room. 

An executive session associated with the performance history of particular employees and collective negotiations will take place at about 6 p.m. The board will reconvene for public-session business at about 7 p.m. 

School Board Members will be recognized for their public service to the school community. The board will also recognize the John J. Hebert Scholar Athletes: Elle Warick and Dylan LaBarge. 

Agenda items will include winter coaching appointments. The Ray Holmes Sportsmanship Award for the fall 2012 season will also be presented.

No Chazy clerk hours Oct. 23-24

CHAZY — The Chazy Town Clerk/Tax Collectors Office will be closed on Wednesday, Oct. 23, and Thursday, Oct. 24.
