Staff joined

PLATTSBURGH — Michael S. Bennett has joined the staff of Brown Funeral Home with his father, Warren, and brother, Ryan.

He is Nationally Board Certified and a New York State licensed funeral director. He graduated from Plattsburgh High School in 2009 and Hudson Valley in 2011 with an A.A.S. degree in Mortuary Science.

He is a member of the Sons of the American Legion Post 1619, Benevolent & Protection Order of the Elks Plattsburgh Lodge 621 and St. Peter’s Church.

Rotary forum

PLATTSBURGH — The Rotary Club of Plattsburgh is announcing its Peace at Home…Peace at Work Forum. It will take place on Tuesday at American Legion Post 20, Quarry Road, Plattsburgh.

The forum will run from 9 a.m. to noon and will feature speakers Bonnie Black, director of employee assistance services, Behavioral Health Services North, and Susan Kelley, director of STOP Domestic Violence. This educational morning will encourage businesses to take steps toward a safer workplace by discussing domestic violence and its impact upon the business community.

The Plattsburgh Rotary Club welcomes all business owners, human-resources professionals and office managers to join them in collaborating to create safer workplaces for all employees. Topics will be Employer’s Legal Obligations, Walk in her Shoes, OSHA Requirements, Myths and Realities of Domestic Violence, and Domestic Violence and Business Costs.
