Upcoming dinner supports charitable functions

PERU — Court St. Monica of St. Augustine’s Parish is having its annual Corned Beef Dinner from 4 to 6:30 p.m. Saturday, March 16, at the Parish Center.

The menu includes corned beef, potatoes, cabbage, carrots, Irish soda bread and desserts. The cost is $8 for adults and $4 for children ages 4 through 12.

Don-Yo DJ Service will provide entertainment during the dinner.

Money raised goes toward funding future charitable functions that the Catholic Daughters of the Americas supports.

Area media personality to share on spirit world

PLATTSBURGH — The Unitarian Universalist Fellowship, 4 Palmer St., is hosting local storyteller Gordie Little for “The Spirituality of the Spiritual World” at 7 p.m. Friday, March 15.

Little has collected and told ghost stories for many years. He will share stories that support the belief that spirits survive life on Earth. Copies of his book “Ghosts of Clinton County” will also be available.

The event is free and open to the public.
