Chazy Rod and Gun to sponsor Cabin Fever Fish Derby

CHAZY — The Chazy Rod and Gun Club will be sponsoring its annual Cabin Fever Fish Derby on March 2.

Cash prizes (one prize per person) will be given for the top three northern pike by weight. First prize is $100, second prize is $75 and third prize is $50.

All New York State Department of Environmental Conservation rules apply. Fish must be taken from Lake Champlain. A bonus prize of $25 for the largest (by weight) yellow perch will be awarded. Fish must be weighed in by the angler who caught it.

Entry fee is $20 per person, $15 for anglers under 16 or over 65. A special price of $35 includes both entry fee and Rod and Gun Club membership for 2013. A michigan dinner will be served at the Weathercock for $5.

Register at the Weathercock Bar, Route 9, Chazy, by March 2. The Weigh Station will be open 2 to 5 p.m. at the Weathercock, with awards to follow shortly after 5.
