Harvest Festival benefits Malone Catholic Parishes

MALONE — The Malone Catholic Parishes Holy Harvest Festival is from noon to 4 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 16, at Holy Family School, Homestead Park.

The event includes a harvest menu served from noon to 3 p.m., a raffle with a $1,000 first prize, a harvest table filled with autumn goodies, games and activities for children and a cake walk for all ages. Entertainment will also be provided.

Dinner tickets will be sold at the event and cost $10 for adults, $8 for seniors, $6 for children ages 6 to 12, and free for children under 5. Funds raised will go toward the four Malone Catholic parishes.

Psychic to speak

at Church of

Spiritualism

MALONE — The North Country Church of Spiritualism presents Brenda Perretta-Gagne at 10:30 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 16, at the Grange Hall, 42 Raymond St.

Perretta-Gagne is a gifted psychic medium from Malone. She now resides in East High Gates, Vt., and her love for her Abenaki heritage runs deep. She directs an after-school program called the Circle of Courage, which runs three days a week where children learn native dances and traditions.

Perretta-Gagne will be speaking to the entire audience, giving mini readings to as many as possible.

A free-will offering will be taken to help defer expenses to bring speakers to the area. A potluck dinner will be held after the service.

New women’s

Bible study

offered in Essex

ESSEX — A new ecumenical women’s video Bible study will begin at 7 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 20, at the Essex Community Church, 2306 Main St.

The study, “Fingerprints of God,” features Jennifer Rothchild. Six additional studies will follow.

All area women are invited and encouraged to attend.

PLATTSBURGH — The Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Plattsburgh at 4 Palmer St. is now registering students in grades pre-K through 12 for religious education classes.
