New associate

PLATTSBURGH — Kyle Reece has joined RE/MAX North Country as a licensed salesperson. Reece graduated from Beekmantown High School and went on to study Real Estate Investing, specializing in multi-family housing.

“Being raised in a military family has taught me the importance of leadership, communication, follow-up, equality and dedication.” Reece said. “These are all qualities that will help me in my real estate business.”

Reece is an Eagle Scout with the Boy Scouts of America and has been a consultant with Reece’s Crew Landscaping & Design since 2010.

“We are excited to have Kyle here at RE/MAX North Country,” Broker Tina Calkins Covey said. “He is a wonderful addition to our already successful office.”

Business mixer

PLATTSBURGH — Geoffrey’s Pub, WEZF-WCPV-WXZO-WEAV and Della Auto Group will co-host this month’s North Country Chamber of Commerce Holiday After Hours.

The chamber invites area business people to the special holiday event on Thursday, Dec. 19, from 5:30 to 7 p.m. at Geoffrey’s Pub.

Attendees will enjoy food and a cash bar while making new business contacts and are encouraged to bring a business card to enter to win door prizes.

Business After Hours is open to all chamber members and their employees. Not-yet-members are encouraged to contact the chamber for a special-guest pass.

Holiday benefit

PLATTSBURGH — The Cornelia Street Office of Glens Falls National Bank and Trust Co. on Dec. 14 will host a Saturday with Santa event to benefit the Clinton County Christmas Bureau.

The event from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at 308 Cornelia St. will include visits and free pictures with Santa, a holiday story time, a showing of the “Polar Express” and refreshments all day.
