Family Fare: Sept. 21, 2013

Special presentation focuses on teen drinking Wednesday

PLATTSBURGH — The Drug Free Communities Support Program and the Plattsburgh Campus and Community Partnership is presenting “Taking the Stairs” at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 25, at the Plattsburgh High School auditorium on Clifford Drive.

With her personal story and humor, Tiana Tozer encourages parents and teens to look beyond the label and question their complacency toward alcohol to help young people understand that some choices are forever.

T-shirts ready for eligible Fun Run participants

PLATTSBURGH — The CVPH Medical Center/Town of Plattsburgh Fun Runs have been completed. 

All participants who ran or walked in five out of the eight runs are eligible to receive a free T-shirt. 

Call the Town of Plattsburgh Parks Department of Parks and Recreation at 562-6860 or visit the offices at 151 Banker Road between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. weekdays to pick them up.
