Roast-pork dinner today in Ticonderoga

TICONDEROGA — A public roast pork-loin dinner will be served from 4:30 to 6 p.m. today in the downstairs dining hall of the Ticonderoga Masonic Temple, 10 Montcalm St.

Take-outs will also be available. Tickets are $10 for adults, and $6 for children 12 years old and under.

Parking will be available along Montcalm Street and at the Thomas B. Azer Agency and Hancock House parking lots. The dinner is sponsored by the members of Mount Defiance Lodge No. 794, F. & A.M. and Fort Ticonderoga Chapter 263, Order of the Eastern Star.

Essex Community Church announces Holy Week schedule

ESSEX — Essex Community Church’s Holy Week schedule is:

Palm Sunday worship service with special music and the giving of palms, 10:15 a.m., March 24; Holy Thursday worship service with communion, 7 p.m. March 28; Easter sunrise service at Beggs Park with breakfast to follow at the church, 6:30 a.m. March 31; and Easter Sunday church worship service, 10:15 a.m. March 31, with Easter egg hunt and party at 10:30 a.m. as part of Sunday school for all children.

Episcopal Church plans Easter services

AuSABLE FORKS — St. James Episcopal Church’s Holy Week schedule is:

Movie night and refreshments in the Parish Hall on Main Street, featuring “The Passion of the Christ,” 7 p.m. Wednesday, March 27; Stripping of the Altar and Foot Washing, at 7 p.m. Maundy Thursday, March 28; Stations of the Cross, noon Good Friday, March 29; Tenebrae service at 7 p.m. March 29; and Festival Eucharist, 10 a.m. Easter Sunday, March 31.

All are welcome.

Ti church holding Holy Week events

TICONDEROGA — The First United Methodist Church’s Holy Week schedule is:

Palm Sunday services will feature the triumphant entrance of Jesus into Jerusalem followed by reflections through readings and a message, 8:30 and 10:30 a.m. March 24. Communion will be served at the 8:30 a.m. service, and the 10:30 a.m. service will feature special music and a children’s message. Traditional palms will be distributed at both services.
