Lake Placid bookstore hosting events

LAKE PLACID — The Bookstore Plus at 2491 Main St. hosts a book club at 7 p.m. the first Tuesday of every month.

On March 5, the group will discuss “The House Girl” by Tara Conklin.

In addition, the story will host Second Saturday Storytime at 10 a.m. March 9 to celebrate Bob Marley. Children will read stories and do a craft.

Book Club to meet Monday

LAKE PLACID — The Lake Placid Institute Book Club will meet at 7 p.m. Monday, Feb. 25, at the Lake Placid Library, 2471 Main St., to discuss “Conversations with David Hockney” by Martin Gayford.

The famous artist’s life and views on art are told through several wide-ranging interviews with Gayford.

The group meets on the last Monday of the month to discuss books chosen from the art’s world. All are welcome to attend.
