ORDA Board meeting planned for June 25

LAKE PLACID — The Olympic Regional Development Authority Board of Directors meeting will be held at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday in the Olympic Center.

The agenda includes the President’s Report, summer plans, reports from the Bonadio Group and the Audit Committee and a resolution relating to capital expenditures.

The meeting is open to the public.

Super search on Beekmantown Central agenda 

BEEKMANTOWN — The Beekmantown Central School Board will hold a special meeting 5:30 p.m. Tuesday. 

Agenda items include coordinator of athletics and budget transfers. The board anticipates going into executive session at 6:15 p.m. to discuss a matter leading to the appointment of a new superintendent of schools.

Items sought for Habitat for Humanity sale

PLATTSBURGH — Champlain Valley Habitat for Humanity is soliciting donations of usable household items for its garage sale, set for 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, July 20, and 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday, July 21.

The money raised at the event will be used to build a modest house for a family who would otherwise be unable to afford it. This year’s sale will be located at 616 Route 3 Plattsburgh, across the street from Pray’s Market.

Items can be dropped off at that location from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesdays and 9 a.m. to noon Saturdays. A Habitat for Humanity sign will posted there on dropoff days.

The organization will not accept clothes, televisions, computers, toilets, tubs, tires or mattresses. All donated items need to be in good working order.

Champlain Valley Habitat is also searching for a low-income family to purchase a home being remodeled in the Wallace Hill Road area of the Town of Plattsburgh.
