City trash pickup changed for Friday

PLATTSBURGH — There will be no garbage collection by the City of Plattsburgh Public Works Department on Friday, April 18, as it is Good Friday.

This week, Friday’s trash pickup will be done on Thursday, April 17.

Today’s will be done as scheduled.

Collection of Water Meter Readings in April

PORT HENRY — The Village of Port Henry has begun collecting April water-meter readings for the May water-and-sewer billing. 

The deadline to submit/obtain/collect water-meter readings is April 28.

Cazenovia, CCC partner on degree

PLATTSBURGH — Students interested in earning a bachelor’s degree in human services can benefit from a partnership formed by Clinton Community College and Cazenovia College.

Cazenovia is offering upper-division coursework leading to a baccalaureate degree in human services on the Clinton Community College campus.

Classes are held on the Clinton Community College campus and online. Students who have already earned their associate degrees can complete this program in less than three years.

ELCS Board to vote on CVES items

ELIZABETHTOWN — The Elizabethtown-Lewis Central School Board will hold a special meeting at 7:15 a.m. Thursday, April 24, at the school.

The purpose of the meeting will be to vote on the Champlain Valley Educational Services administrative budget and slate of five CVES board members.

A brief executive session will follow to discuss collective negotiations.

Board meetings are open to the public.
