Cadyville Fire District levy stays under tax cap

CADYVILLE — The Cadyville Fire District plans to buy a new pumper truck next year.

A public hearing on the 2014 budget is set for 7 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 15, at the firehouse.

The spending plan totals $140,000, up from $132,000 this year, according to Fire Commission Chairman Jeff Favro. The increase would also allow the district to keep up with new gear mandates and cover rising costs for Worker’s Compensation and insurances.

“We’re still staying under the (state) tax cap,” Favro said.
