Several items on Common Council’s agenda tonight

PLATTSBURGH — The City of Plattsburgh Common Council will take action on several items at tonight’s meeting.

Among them are approving contracts for the American Federation of State County Municipal Employees Local 788 retroactive from July 1, 2010, through June 30, 2015, and for Plattsburgh Police Officers Union Council 812 from Jan. 1, 2013, through Dec. 31, 2016.

The council will also vote on the appointment of Kathy Livingston to the position of assessor, effective Dec. 2, 2013, through Sept. 30, 2019. Livingston will replace Derek Rosenbaum who is resigning to pursue other interests.

The meeting begins with a work session at 5 p.m., followed by the regular meeting at 5:30 p.m.

Both meetings are open to the public.

Champlain Zoning Board won’t meet today

CHAMPLAIN — The Town of Champlain Zoning Board meeting scheduled for today has been canceled.

The next session is set for 5:30 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 19, at the Town Office Complex, 729 Route 9.

Meetings are open to the public.
