15th-annualQuilt Show to be held in St. Albans

ST. ALBANS —  The Franklin County Quilters Guild’s 15th-annual Quilt Show will be held on April 6 and 7 at City Hall, 100 North Main St. Albans.

The show will take place from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, April 6, and from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Sunday, April 7. Admission is free.

The guild will draw the winning ticket for the “Covered Bridges of Franklin County” quilt raffle at the end of the show.

Tickets for the raffle quilt are available at the show or in advance by contacting Ann Jacobs, 802-372-5611 or via email to franklincountyquilters@gmail.com.

Cook and Gardener tour planned

PLATTSBURGH — Cornell Cooperative Extension and Cook and Gardener will host a behind-the-scenes tour and workshops from 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday, April 6.

The $10 registration fee includes a tour of the Cook and Gardener greenhouses on Tom Miller Road, a presentation on new and underutilized shrubs and perennials, a workshop on herbs and a workshop on growing plants and vegetables from seed.

Space is limited, and pre-registration is required.
