Computer class for beginners set for May 5

PLATTSBURGH — The Clinton County Senior Center will host a beginners computer class, starting at 9 a.m. Monday, May 5.

Instructor Len Wood will teach the basics of using a computer; learning how to make files and folders; cut, copy and paste; and how to send emails.

Those interested can sign up by either calling Wood 572-0800 or the Senior Center at 563-6180.

NY Connects offers Educational Series

PLATTSBURGH — Clinton County New York Connects invites all members of the community to participate in an Educational Series on a variety of community services.

The series continues today, with Maria Alexander, director, and Patti Rauch, program director, talking about the programs at the Senior Center.

On April 9, Home Based Primary Care will be the topic, with Amy Rugar discussing the program for veterans.

Health Exchange Marketplace will be held April 23, featuring Jill Rock from the Adirondack Health Institute with information about the Affordable Care Act.

All presentations will be held from 10 to 11:30 a.m. in the first-floor meeting room of the Clinton County Government Center at 137 Margaret St. A visitor parking lot can be accessed via Court Street.
