Dannemora to open water-system bids

DANNEMORA — The Town of Dannemora will hold a special meeting at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 26, to open bid proposals for the water filtration system for the new Town Municipal Center.

The regular Town Council session will follow.

The Municipal Center is located at 78 Higby Road.

The public is welcome.

Peru School District seeks School Board candidates

PERU — Peru Central School is seeking candidates to fill two vacancies on the School Board.

Both seats are at large, with one seat for a full five-year term from July 1, 2014, to June 30, 2019, and one for an unexpired term for the period of May 21, 2014, to June 30, 2015. 

The candidate with the highest vote total will fill the full-term vacancy, and the person with the second-highest vote total will fill the unexpired seat.

The ‘Petition for Nomination of Candidate’ is available in the District Office at 17 School St. Mondays through Friday, except school holidays, or via the web at http://www.perucsd.org/Page/1284. Petitions must be directed to the school district clerk, be signed by at least 25 qualified voters of the district and state the name, residence and phone number of the candidate. 

Petitions must be returned no later than 5 p.m. Monday, April 21.

The School Board election will be held on Tuesday, May 20.

Public welcome at Saranac Trail meeting

PLATTSBURGH — The Saranac River Trail Greenway Committee will be meet at 4 p.m. Wednesday, March 26, in the first-floor meeting room of the Clinton County Government Center, 137 Margaret St. 

The session is open to the public.

NACS to host second budget session

ELLENBURG — The Northern Adirondack Central School Board will hold its second budget session at 5:30 p.m. Monday, March 31, in the District Office conference room. 

The meeting will focus on an update on the status of budget development.
