Little named to Senate committees

PLATTSBURGH — State Sen. Betty Little has been appointed to some new committees in the State Legislature.

Little (R-Queensbury) was named to the Rules Committee and the Commerce, Economic Development and Small Business Committees in the State Senate.

She will continue to serve as chair of the Cultural Affairs, Tourism, Parks and Recreation Committees, and as a member of Consumer Protection, Crime Victims, Crime and Correction, Education, Environmental Conservation and Finance and Judiciary panels.

“With the departures of a couple of senators, there was some shuffling and a chance to serve on some new committees,” Little said in a statement.

“The Commerce Committee focuses on job creation, and the Rules Committee sees much of the legislation that makes its way to the Senate floor.

“Both are good opportunities to add my perspective on behalf of my constituents.”
