July 27 Casino Night event canceled

PLATTSBURGH — The Casino Night event planned for Friday, July 27, at the Senior Center, 5139 North Catherine St., has been canceled.

Computer Club offering variety of classes in August

PLATTSBURGH — During the month of August, the Clinton County Senior Citizens Computer Club is offering computer classes from 9 to 11 a.m. Mondays and Wednesdays at the Senior Center, 5139 North Catherine St.

Each day will be an individual class on a special item or function. Students will be able to pick and choose what classes they want to take.

The schedule includes: Computer Maintenance and Creating Your Desktop, Wednesday, Aug. 1; Backing up Your Computer and Transferring Files to External Storage, Monday, Aug. 6; Viruses, Anti-Virus Programs and Other Bad Things, Wednesday, Aug. 8; Making and Saving Files and Folders, Monday, Aug. 13; Working with Emails, Wednesday, Aug. 15; Using Your Web Browser, Monday, Aug. 20; and Installing the Free Open Office Program, Wednesday, Aug. 22.

Preregistration is not necessary, and classes are available to all seniors.
