Seaway Valley Seniors to meet

WADDINGTON — The next meeting for the Seaway Valley Senior Citizens will be held at noon Tuesday, Jan. 14, at the Waddington Methodist Church.

Members are asked to bring a dish to share, their place settings and a beverage.

‘Senior Scholars’ series begins Feb. 6

PLATTSBURGH — Adirondack Enrichment will present “Senior Scholars” from 10:15 a.m. to 2:45 p.m. each Thursday from Feb. 6 through March 13 at Lake Forest Retirement Community, 8 Lake Forest Drive, Plattsburgh.

“Senior Scholars,” a six-week lecture and discussion series, will begin Feb. 6 with talks by Dr. Gary Kroll, SUNY associate professor of history, who will present “Adirondack Environmental History” in the morning, followed by Dr. Richard Robbins, SUNY distinguished teaching professor in anthropology, with “Anthropology of Food” in the afternoon.
