Support group for nursing moms to meet Monday

PLATTSBURGH — La Leche League, a breast-feeding information and support group, will meet 7 p.m. Monday, Jan. 6, at Family Connections on U.S. Oval.

The group is for all women. Babies are also welcome.

The group will also meet 10 a.m. Friday, Jan. 17.

Chazy Public Library Story Time slated for today

CHAZY — The Chazy Public Library will present Story Time at 10 this morning.

The topic will be “Celebrate 2014 – The Year of the Horse.”  Explore the culture of China and read about the unique traditions of the Chinese New Year. Dress in red, the color of this annual celebration.

For children ages 3 to 8.

Saranac Lake Free Library plans Preschool Story Time

SARANAC LAKE — The preschool Story Time Program sponsored by the Saranac Lake Free Library, 109 Main St., continues 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 9, in the Elinor B. Preis Children’s Room.

All preschoolers are invited to enjoy stories and the fun of getting together with other children every Thursday morning.

McBride Chevrolet to host Child Passenger Safety Event

PLATTSBURGH — Bill McBride Chevrolet and Subaru Inc. is sponsoring a Child Passenger Safety Event at 5701 U.S. Ave. in Plattsburgh from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Jan. 11.

Clinton County Traffic Safety, Morrisonville EMS and Safe Kids Adirondacks will be conducting the check.

Chamber Family Ski Dayat Titus Mountain Jan. 11

MALONE — Titus Mountain will host the second North Country Chamber Family Ski Day from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 11.

Membership with the chamber is not required.

Cost for tickets (if purchased through the North Country Chamber by Jan. 9) is $30 for adults; $27 for kids/seniors; $20 for rentals; and $20 for tubing. Included will be a free lesson for those who are interested and free munchies at the Apres Ski Party at 4:30 p.m.

There is also a race scheduled for that day, and night skiing will be offered following the party.
