HUD gives perfect inspection score to Senior Citizens Overlook

BLOOMINGDALE — The Senior Citizens Overlook in Bloomingdale received a perfect score following a U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) Real Estate Assessment Center physical inspection performed by a third-party inspector Dec. 11.

The inspection included a random sample of 12 of the 19 HUD subsidized units, community room and laundry facility. The outside of the buildings as well the parking lot and sidewalks were also included in the inspection.

Scoring for HUD subsidized projects starts at 100 with points deducted for each deficiency. Senior Citizens Overlook received a score of 100a. The “a” portion of the scores denotes that there were no health and safety deficiencies observed.

Computer Club lecture to cover invasive species

PLATTSBURGH — The next meeting of the Computer Club at the Senior Citizens Center in Plattsburgh will feature a lecture on invasive species and the effect they have on forests and trees.

Jolene Wallace of the Cornell Cooperative Extension will be the presenter for the meeting, scheduled to begin at 1:30 p.m. Monday, Jan. 6, at the Senior Citizens Center, 5139 North Catherine St.

Handouts and fact sheets will be provided.

All are welcome to attend.

Castaways release January gig schedule
