Saranac Lake roads to close for parade today

SARANAC LAKE — Streets will close today at noon to allow passage of the Saranac Lake Winter Carnival Gala Parade.

Here’s the list: LaPan Highway between Canaras Avenue and Main Street; Main between Church and River streets; and Broadway from Route 86 and Trudeau Road to Main at Berkely Hill.

Detour signs will give instructions for alternate routes. The closures will last until after the parade is over, according to Village Police.

Police asked that motorists watch out for pedestrians through the busy downtown and Ice Palace areas.
