Nominations due for St. Lawrence University awards

CANTON — Nominations for St. Lawrence University’s 2014 North Country Citation award are due Jan. 15, 2014.

North Country Citations are presented to individuals in the six counties of Northern New York (St. Lawrence, Lewis, Jefferson, Essex, Warren, and Franklin) who, through professional endeavor or personal example, contribute in special ways to improving the quality of life or fostering a sense of community in the region.

Not eligible are: anyone who worked in the area for a period of time and subsequently left the region; those whose professional accomplishments have benefited the North Country but who do not or have not resided here; and alumni and employees of the university.

The citation will be awarded at commencement on May 18, 2014.
