CCC Board of Trustees meeting coming up

PLATTSBURGH — The Clinton Community College Board of Trustees will meet at 5 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 17, in the Board Room on the second floor of the Moore Academic and Administrative building on the main campus.

Agenda items include bid openings, a number of reports and approval of the academic calendars for 2014-15 and 2015-16.

The meeting is open to the public. 

Volunteers sought for Resource Center

WATERTOWN — The North Country Regional Volunteer Center, operated by the United Way of the Adirondack Region Inc., has established an online volunteer Resource Center that serves Clinton, Essex, Franklin, Hamilton, Jefferson, Lewis and St. Lawrence counties.

The center has partnered with the United Way of NNY and Greater Watertown-North Country Chamber of Commerce to offer a free seminar on volunteer recruitment and data-base development.

The training will be on how organizations, agencies and municipalities can use the free volunteer match website.

Also included is training on recruitment, orienting, supporting, evaluating and saluting volunteers.

The training is set for 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 7, at the Ramada Inn, 6300 Arsenal St., Watertown. A free lunch will be served.
