---- — Play ‘Family Feud’ with NY Lottery at mall Sunday

PLATTSBURGH — The New York Lottery will be at Champlain Centre mall from noon to 4 p.m. Sunday with a travelling version of the TV game show “Family Feud.”

The event is part of New York Lottery’s Statewide Family Feud Promotion Tour.

To have a chance to be a contestant on the show, bring a non-winning Family Feud ticket to the mall. Players must be 18 years or older

Beekmantown School Board to discuss budget Tuesday evening

BEEKMANTOWN — The Beekmantown Central School Board will hold a special meeting at 6:15 p.m. Tuesday in the Middle/High School library. 

Agenda items include: a 2013-2014 budget work session and adoption of the notice of annual district election, budget vote and proposition for a decrease in term of office for board members.

The public is welcome.   

NCCC Board of Trustees to meet in Malone on Tuesday

SARANAC LAKE — The North Country Community College Board of Trustees will meet at noon Tuesday, March 26, in room RH-107, on the Malone campus, 75 William St.

An executive session may be called at the start of the meeting.

As agenda items, the college listed administrative reports, personnel and a financial update.

All board meetings are open to the public.

Clinton County Fair to award 10 scholarships

PLATTSBURGH — The Clinton County Fair will award up to 10 $1,000 scholarships to New York state high-school seniors and students enrolled in college.

The New York State Association of Agricultural Fairs and the New York State Showpeople’s Association sponsor the scholarships.

The qualifying students must be active at the Clinton County Fair. All applicants from Clinton County must submit their applications through the fair no later than Friday, April 12.

Information is available at the Clinton County Fair Office, P.O. Box 280, Morrisonville, NY 12962, through Cornell Cooperative Extension of Clinton County and from local high-school offices. Applications must be printed and completed from the web at www.nyfairs.org.

City School Board candidates must submit petitions by May 1

PLATTSBURGH — The deadline to submit petitions for Plattsburgh City School Board candidacy is 5 p.m. May 1.

The district is accepting nominations to fill two seats with five-year terms set for July 1 this year through June 30, 2018.

Candidates for the positions must be at least 18, qualified voters in the Plattsburgh City School District and able to read and write. They must have been residents of the district continuously for one year before the election and obtain the signatures of 100 qualified district voters on nominating petitions, which can be obtained from the district clerk at the Duken School Building, 49 Broad St., Plattsburgh. 

An earlier release had incorrectly given April 25 as the submission deadline.
