Programs teach about kidney disease

PLATTSBURGH -- The H.K. Freedman Renal Center is the site of a two-part educational program designed for anyone who needs to know about kidney disease and its treatment options. The first program, Kidney Basics and Treatments, takes place Friday, March 21, from 9:30 a.m. to noon. The second in the series, Nutrition and Adjustment, is set for Friday, March 28, 9:30 to 11 a.m. The H.K. Freedman Renal Center is located in the CVPH Health Plaza. CVPH Medical Center needs volunteers

PLATTSBURGH -- The CVPH Volunteer Department is recruiting for several specific jobs, each requiring different skills, time commitments and capabilities. Volunteer positions are open in the following departments: North Country Regional Blood Donor Center, for one or two days a week for two to three hours; the Emergency Care Center for any day of the week from 9 a.m. to noon; CVPH Wellness Center at PARC on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.; Alice T. Miner Center for Women and Children on Monday through Saturday at various times; Flower/Patient E-mail Delivery on Wednesdays from noon to 3 p.m.
