A few minutes before midnight, Joshua B. Further investigation revealed Johnston was allegedly driving while intoxicated and had open containers of alcoholic beverages inside the car, the release said.
He was charged with misdemeanor DWI; failure to keep right, a violation, and consumption of alcohol in a motor vehicle, a violation.
On June 7, Johnston was processed at the Sheriff’s Department and issued court appearance tickets.
He is scheduled to appear in Peru Town Court later this month.
