---- — PLATTSBURGH — A Potsdam woman was charged Sunday with felony driving while intoxicated with a prior conviction.
At 9:50 p.m. Feb. 16, Plattsburgh City Police received a call reporting that a red passenger car was traveling the wrong way on Oak Street, said Plattsburgh City Police Lt. Scott Beebie.
Officers initially did not find the vehicle but eventually stopped a red Dodge Neon on Court Street, Beebie said.
Officers saw the driver, Felecia Weller, 29, attempt to scoot from the driver’s seat to the passenger’s seat so it would appear that she had not been driving the vehicle, Beebie said.
Roadside sobriety tests were administered and Weller was found to be impaired, Beebie said.
Her driving history showed a prior driving while intoxicated conviction, he said.
Weller was arrested just before 1:30 a.m. Feb. 17 and was charged with driving while intoxicated with a prior designated offense within the past 10 years, a felony, and three traffic violations: having an expired or no vehicle inspection certificate, refusal to submit to a pre-screen test and having an open container of alcohol in the vehicle.
Weller was arraigned in Plattsburgh City Court, Beebie said.
