---- — MOIRA — State Police investigating a deer-jacking complaint made a felony DWI arrest Sunday morning.
Michael J. Villnave, 41, of North Bangor, was stopped on Patterson Road as a possible suspect because his vehicle was similar to the one described in the complaint. Although no evidence was found linking Villnave to the deer-jacking complaint, during the interview State Police suspected he had been drinking. Villnave’s blood-alcohol content was found to be 0.19 percent.
Villnave was arrested at 12:25 a.m. and charged with aggravated DWI because of a prior offense within 10 years and aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, because of a revoked or suspended license. Both are felonies.
Villnave was arraigned in Moira Town Court by Town Justice Durant. He was released on his own recognizance under supervision of the Probation Department. He is scheduled to reappear in Town Court on Dec. 19.
