Franklin County Court: Sept. 23, 2013

---- — MALONE — The following cases were heard recently Franklin County Court before Clinton County and Acting Franklin County Judge Patrick McGill: 

Guildor Lizotte, 71, of Fortier Road, Tupper Lake, pleaded not guilty to driving while intoxicated with a blood-alcohol reading above .08 percent, DWI and moving from a lane unsafely, stemming from an incident May 19.

He was released without bail to reappear in court Sept. 24.

David Coombs, 29, an inmate at Upstate Correctional Facility, pleaded guilty to first-degree attempted promotion of prison contraband, stemming from an incident Aug. 13, 2012, at Upstate Correctional.

Sentencing is set for Nov. 15.

Ronnie Guity, 25, an inmate at Livingston Correctional Facility, pleaded guilty to first-degree attempted promotion of prison contraband, stemming from an incident April 29, 2012, at Franklin Correctional Facility.

Sentencing is set for Nov. 15.

Ricardo Rivera, 31, an inmate at Upstate Correctional Facility, pleaded guilty to first-degree attempted promotion of prison contraband, stemming from an incident Jan. 10 at Bare Hill Correctional Facility.

His sentencing is Nov. 15.

Branden M. Hughes, 24, an inmate at Mt. McGregor Correctional Facility, pleaded guilty to first-degree attempted promotion of prison contraband, stemming from an incident Jan. 15 at Bare Hill Correctional Facility.

Sentencing is Nov.15.

Shaquan Kelly, 23, an inmate at Bare Hill Correctional Facility, pleaded guilty to first-degree attempted promotion of prison contraband, stemming from an incident Jan. 8 at Bare Hill.

Sentencing is Nov. 15.

Dylon Wade, 21, an inmate at Upstate Correctional Facility, pleaded guilty to first-degree attempted promotion of prison contraband, stemming from an incident May 31 at Bare Hill Correctional Facility.

Sentencing is set for Nov. 15.

JUDGE MAIN

The following cases were recently heard by Franklin County Court Judge Robert G. Main Jr.:

Robert Call, 26, an inmate at Downstate Correctional Facility, pleaded guilty to third-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance, stemming from an incident Feb. 27, 2012.

Sentencing is Dec. 2.

Joyce Hernandez, 50, of County Route 24, Malone, was sentenced to four months in County Jail and five years of probation for fourth-degree grand larceny, stemming from incidents between Dec. 20, 2012, and January 2013.

She was also ordered to pay $2,292.39 in restitution.

A 17-year-old Fort Covington youth, who was granted youthful-offender status and not identified, was sentenced to four months in County Jail and five years of probation for second-degree attempted criminal sale of marijuana, stemming from an incident Feb. 13.

Chad St. Ann, 32, of Quain Road, Brushton, pleaded not guilty to aggravated driving while intoxicated, DWI, and driving on roadways laned for traffic, stemming from an incident Nov. 13, 2012.

He was released under the supervision of the Probation Department.

Joseph C. White, 64, of White Road, Hogansburg, was sentenced to one to three years in state prison for driving while intoxicated, stemming from an incident Feb. 13.

He was also ordered to serve three years of post-release supervision, and his driver’s license was revoked.

Stephen Garrand, 52, of Malone, was sentenced to one to three years in state prison for failure to register as a sex offender, stemming from an incident Oct. 4, 2012.
