Police Log: July 5, 2013 — Structure fire

HEMMINGFORD, Que. — Several North Country fire departments were called to help battle a blaze in Canada Wednesday afternoon.

According to Clinton County Fire Control, departments from Champlain, Rouses Point, Ellenburg Depot and Mooers assisted firefighters in battling a blaze at a warehouse in Hemmingford.

The fire started around 4:40 p.m. Wednesday, but no other details were available.

North Country fire departments are part of a mutual aid system that includes covering nearby Canadian towns. Canadian fire departments are available, in turn, to help local departments.
