KEESEVILLE — A Plattsburgh woman was injured in a one-vehicle accident early Thursday morning in the Town of AuSable, according to New York State Police.
Elizabeth M. Ford, 27, was driving a 1993 white Ford Escort at 1:47 a.m. in a southerly direction on Hallock Hill Road when she lost control, crossed over the double-solid line and into the opposite lane, police said.
She exited the roadway off the east shoulder. The car struck a tree and overturned. Bell was partially ejected and pinned under the passenger side of the vehicle as a result.
She was transported to CVPH Medical Center with multiple injuries and later transferred to Fletcher Allen Health Care in Burlington, Vt. There, she was listed in critical condition.
Bell was ticketed for: unlicensed operation, unreasonable speed, failure to keep right and having an unsafe tire, according to State Police.
The accident was still under investigation and more tickets may be issued, police said.
