CHATEAUGAY — A Chateaugay man was charged with criminal contempt and harassment Aug. 29.
Allen L. Trombley, 66, allegedly verbally threatened to harm his girlfriend, with whom he was living, State Police Troop B Public Information Officer Trooper Jennifer Fleishman said.
There is a court-issued refrain from order of protection in effect to protect the alleged victim, Fleishman said.
Trombley was charged with first-degree criminal contempt, a felony, and second-degree harassment, a violation.
He was arraigned in Chateaugay Town Court and sent to Franklin County Jail in lieu of $5,000 cash or $10,000 bond.
